From Upwork to using online job boards, here are 6 answers to the question, “What is the best way to find freelancers in the Philippines?”
Use Online Job Boards
In the past, I have found great success in acquiring freelance talents from the Philippines through online job boards such as OnlineJobs.ph.
While there are other platforms that have a large pool of freelancers in the Philippines, such as Fiverr, Upwork, and even social media platforms, online job boards are easier and cheaper to use. For instance, OnlineJobs.ph does not require any subscription fees for you to post job listings. Although you’ll need a subscription to make communication between you and the candidates easier, you can cancel it once the recruiting process is done
Also, it does not require you to pay through the platform. You can arrange payment structure and channels with the freelancers privately, so you can avoid typical fees deducted on most freelancing platforms.
Balance passion-driven work and flexibility
Promoted by Fiverr
Freelancing is the best way to balance passion-driven work and flexibility – giving people the opportunity to have full autonomy over their career and how they want to work on a day-to-day basis. Whether you’re working at home or on-the-go, freelancers can choose the projects they want to pursue, then craft their work experience around it. As a freelancer, you have the freedom to travel the world, spend time with your family, and manage your own schedule.
As we continue to navigate a volatile economy plagued by layoffs and firings, independent work is a great vehicle for financial security. By not being tied down by a singular employer, you can take on more projects, be your own boss, and further develop your own service offerings with new skills – such as AI. With businesses relying on freelancers more than ever before, freelancers today can expand their horizons and work on projects of all shapes and sizes.
Philippines Freelancing Facebook Groups
An excellent way to find freelancers in the Philippines is through Facebook groups and pages dedicated to freelancing job opportunities in the Philippines. Check if they are open to clients. Examples of such Facebook groups are Home-based VA and Lead Gen Freelancers – Philippines and Freelancers PH
Look for similar groups as these. Follow Philippine freelancing pages and ask if you can post job openings. Ask to join similar Facebook groups to post available positions in your company. Note that some groups are exclusively for Filipinos only.
Upwork
One website you can use to find freelancers in the Philippines is Upwork. Upwork is a popular platform that allows businesses and individuals to find and hire freelancers for various tasks, including web and software development, writing, data entry, and more.
To use Upwork, you can create a free account and then post a job listing describing the work you need to be done. Freelancers interested in your project will then send you proposals, and you can review their profiles, portfolios, and ratings to decide which is the best fit for your needs.
Upwork also offers a range of tools and features to help you communicate with, pay, and work with your freelancer, making it a convenient and reliable platform for finding and hiring talented professionals from the Philippines or any other location.
Use Linkedin
We have worked with freelance blog writers and marketing professionals from the Philippines for the best part of six months now. Although we have used several platforms to recruit, including freelancing sites like Upwork, we have actually had the biggest success getting quality talent on LinkedIn
In fact, just a simple search on LinkedIn for Filipino freelancers will yield thousands of excellent results. Of course, you still need to interview candidates, test out their skills, and gauge their portfolios
However, we have learned from our experiences so far that LinkedIn tends to have so many accomplished individuals who already have a demonstrable track record of success in what they do.
Use Onlinejobs.ph
Finding freelancers in the Philippines is best done via the platform onlinejobs.ph. They host the best employees in the Philippines and have the largest database of Filipino employees. They also have people in the Philippines who conduct research and evaluate the truthfulness of the profiles of their members.
Each member has been scrutinized and passed an evaluation before they can apply for any jobs on the platform. The best part of it all is that you can hire employees at a guaranteed lower price than any other platform.
Searching On FreeUp
FreeUp is one of the top freelancing sites in the Philippines dedicated to connecting talented freelancers with employers in a safe and secure environment. The best thing about eUp is that all the freelancers on the platform are pre-screened to ensure that they match the quality that clients demand.
Hence, you are sure to work with professionals who are proven in their fields. It also has the highest minimum hourly rate at $8/hr, meaning that you will get quality work from some of the best freelancers who are well-remunerated and thus motivated to work with their clients.”
