The journalist request platform that connects subject-matter experts with journalists and publishers has crossed a major milestone — a sign that, after its 2026 revival under Featured, Connectively is back and growing.

Today, we hit a number we’re proud of: Connectively has surpassed 100,000 users.

For a platform that was discontinued in 2024, that milestone carries weight. It isn’t a vanity metric — it’s more than 100,000 subject-matter experts, journalists, and publishers using Connectively to do something we believe in. Turn real human expertise into credible, published work.

Here’s what the milestone represents, and where Connectively is headed.

What Connectively is

Connectively is a journalist request platform. Journalists and publishers post what they’re working on and the kind of expert sources they need; subject-matter experts browse those requests, filter by topic and outlet, and submit pitches directly inside the platform. When it’s a fit, the journalist gets a credible, ready-to-publish source, and the expert earns a placement.

It works at real scale. On Connectively, an expert connects with a publisher every six seconds, and the platform helps 2,500 publishers fill content gaps with expert-led articles. For the experts and PR professionals who prefer to find, filter, and respond to opportunities inside a platform rather than sort through an inbox, a journalist request platform like Connectively is built for exactly that.

From discontinued to 100,000 users

Connectively’s story has a twist. The brand was discontinued in 2024 under its previous owner, Cision. A lot of people assumed that was the end of it.

It wasn’t. Featured acquired the platform in 2025 and revived it in 2026, bringing the system we’d operated for more than four years — every media opportunity, profile, subscription, and workflow — home to the Connectively name. The brand had gone dormant; the platform behind it was mature, proven, and home to an active community. Reuniting the two is what made a milestone like 100,000 users possible so soon after the relaunch.

So when we say Connectively is back, this is what we mean: not a brand-new tool starting from zero, but an established platform, under a name with real equity, that’s still growing.

Why the milestone matters

We revived Connectively — and HARO before it — on a simple belief: everyone has expertise worth sharing, and the people best positioned to share it rarely get asked. Journalists and publishers are the exception. They’re always looking for firsthand knowledge from people who know their subject.

That need is only growing. As AI-generated content floods the internet, journalists need real human sources more than ever, and the outlets that cite credible experts are the ones readers trust. Connecting those experts to the media isn’t a nice-to-have anymore; it’s how good stories get told and how expertise reaches the people who need it.

“Passing 100,000 users tells us the demand for a place to share expertise is as strong as ever,” said Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured. “Bringing Connectively back was a deliberate choice, and this milestone is the community telling us it was the right one.”

Where Connectively fits — and what’s next

Connectively is owned and operated by Featured, the co-pilot for PR, and runs as a standalone product alongside Help a Reporter Out (HARO). Together they give experts a choice in how they source media opportunities: inside a platform with Connectively, or by email with HARO. Both rest on the same belief — that earned media should be within reach of every expert.

And we’re not slowing down. We’ll keep investing in Connectively — better matching, a faster path from request to published placement, and deeper integrations — so the next 100,000 users find it even easier to turn what they know into coverage.

Thank you
